BROOMFIELD — A frustrated Amy Mohr called timeout with 6 minutes, 38 seconds left in the third quarter with her Evergreen Lady Cougars down 13 points. The fact that she showed such emotion with her team playing a perennial powerhouse in Broomfield though may have been a good sign.
History would suggest that Evergreen had no business even being in the game with the Lady Eagles, considering Broomfield won five straight 4A state championships from 2007-11. But there the Lady Cougars were for most of the first half.
