Keep wildlife from getting up close and personal

The kitchen window at the Evergreen Christian Outreach office is barricaded to keep bears from getting into the outreach ministry’s food supply and trash. In residential areas not too far from town, mountain lions have been known to stalk pets in the late evening.
In case they didn’t already know it, Evergreen residents should be aware that the area is a wildlife habitat, said Jennifer Churchill, spokeswoman for the Colorado Division of Wildlife.
