Josh Karnath, if nothing else, got an up-close view of some of the state’s best 220-pound wrestlers at the Evergreen Invitational.
The Cougars senior, himself ranked in the Top 10 by On the Mat rankings, was one of nine ranked grapplers in a field of 13 at this year’s tournament on Jan. 14 at Evergreen High School. And it certainly provided him with a look at who to look for come time for regionals on Feb. 10-11 at Eagle Valley High School and, hopefully, at the 4A state tournament a week later at Denver’s Pepsi Center.
