Jeremy Raun Bucholz, 35, of Denver passed to the next life on Dec. 26, 2011. He was the son of Jerry and Donna Bucholz of Evergreen. He was born Feb. 29, 1976, in St. Louis Park, Minn.
A chemist, he was educated at North Dakota State University in Fargo, N.D.,and began his career in the oil and asphalt industries while in college.
His passions included riding his motorcycle on cross-country trips, skiing, NBA basketball especially the Boston Celtics, the Minnesota Vikings of the NFL and being “Uncle Jeremy” to his friends’ children and his nephew, Jacob.
He will be remembered for his smile, his sense of humor, his work ethic and his generosity.
In addition to his parents, Jeremy is survived by brothers: Jeffrey Scot Tanner Bucholz of Denver, David LaPolt of Littleton and Brian LaPolt (Andrea) of Lilienfeld, Austria; grandparents Elizabeth Bucholz of Devils Lake, N.D. ,and Bill and Hilda Eshelman of Minneapolis; nephew Jacob LaPolt of Lilienfeld; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends all over the country.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Dee Bucholz; grandfathers, Alvin Bucholz and Ralph Pigott; and grandparents Russell and Doris Dinger.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4, at Horan & McConaty, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd., Lakewood.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, with visitation prior to the service at Church of the Hills, 28628 Buffalo Park Road, Evergreen. Private interment later at Resthaven Cemetery in Wichita, Kan.
