If you own land, work on it, or care about it you are invited to the Jefferson Conservation District Annual Meeting. To commemorate this 70th anniversary year, we will present on the proud history and promising future of JCD. The District, which once focused primarily on the cropland between Denver and the Front Range, has since moved up into the mountains and out into the city. See how JCD has managed the transition and what exciting plans it holds in store for the coming years.
The meeting will take place at the Elk Creek Fire Department on Thursday, October 18th, from 6-8pm. It will feature a guest panel composed of a Front Range logger, a wildlife biologist, and two high-altitude gardening experts. A light dinner will be provided. Updates will be posted on our website, as well as our Facebook and Twitter pages, as the meeting approaches. Feel free to invite your conservation-minded friends, as well. We all look forward to shaking your hand, sharing our story, and eating some cake!
