Homeowners at The Ridge take on fire-mitigation challenge

 The Ridge Homeowners Association is not just worrying about whether a wildfire could destroy the subdivision — the residents are actually doing something about it.

On Saturday, April 21, a group of homeowners got together for an organizational and informational session. The first harvest is expected to be in May, when they will cut branches and haul deadwood out of the 900-acre enclave southeast of Bergen Park.
