Holiday mailing deadlines

The arrival of Thanksgiving marked the official beginning of the 2007 holiday mail season. The Postal Service expects to handle more than 20 billion pieces of holiday mail nationwide this year between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

The Evergreen post office will be open the following retail hours during the holiday season.

• 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

• 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.

The post office is at 3649 Evergreen Parkway.
