To achieve a really eye-popping, bleacher-shaking, spirit-raising, rabble-rousing, scream-yourself-hoarse halftime show, bigger is definitely better. And Evergreen High School’s first-rate Cougar Marching Band is getting better all the time.
“Four years ago, there were less than 50 kids in the marching band, and there were 63 when I took over,” says Michelle Knight, who accepted EHS’ instrumental music baton in 2007. “We’ve got 78 now, and I think it will probably keep growing.”
