Republican Cheri Gerou will continue representing House District 25, after capturing 55 percent of the vote in the race against Democratic challenger Lorna Idol.
According to unofficial results, Idol received 40 percent of the vote, and Libertarian Jack Woehr garnered 5 percent.
Nearly 42,000 people voted in the district, which has approximately 62,000 registered voters.
“I’m impressed with the turnout in the district,” said Gerou, who was watching results of other state House races Tuesday night.
