Evergreen, CO – Bundle up and head outdoors for this special wintry edition of Jefferson County Open Spaces Jr. Rangers program at Hiwan Homestead Museum, on Saturday, January 26, from 10:00 a.m. - Noon. Kids will join Park Rangers, Naturalists and Cultural Historians for an engaging morning of lively, fun-filled activities. Meet Rangers & Naturalists from days gone by and find out how their work has evolved since the late nineteenth century. Visit a historic pioneer and modern day campsite and test your skills with a few engaging Games of Yore. Finish up with a cracklin’ campfire and hot dog roast.
Most of this program will be outdoors in the snow and on muddy trails. Please dress appropriately with warm boots, snow pants, jackets, hats & gloves, etc. Advance registration is required for this FREE event.
