One of Evergreen’s original firefighters, Frank “Buster” Anderson Jr., died suddenly Jan. 1 at age 93 at Delta County Memorial Hospital. He had moved to Delta a little over a year ago to be closer to his son, James.
Anderson was one of the 47 original founders of the Evergreen Volunteer Fire Department in 1948. He was a member of the department from 1948 to 1973 and served on the fire board from 1949 to 1978. We was a charter member of the Evergreen Elks.
He worked for the Clear Creek County Road and Bridge Department and had retired about 26 years ago.
