Clear Creek County firefighters responded to reports of a wild land fire on Upper Squaw Pass, only to stand down when it was discovered to be wind-blown pollen.
The pollen was so convincing that a helicopter was requested to fly over the area to get a better look.
The call came in at about 11:30 a.m. and emergency crews finished their investigation at 12:50 p.m.
