The Evergreen Fire Protection District will receive a modest boost in operating funds for 2008, thanks to an increase in the assessed value of property in the Evergreen area.
The district budget projects total revenue of $4.2 million in 2008, an increase of 12 percent from $3.7 million budgeted in 2007, reflecting the increase in property valuations from the parts of both Jefferson and Clear Creek counties within the fire district.
