Evergreen's White dives to title

ARVADA — Kelly White is probably the happiest diver in the state.

While others scowl, tense or drift into a trance as they walk the proverbial plank before the judges, White can’t help but brighten with a smile.

And she has a way of spreading that smile to others when she leaps into the water.

White also happened to be the best diver at Meyers Pool on Saturday in the annual Jeffco League Meet.

White was Evergreen’s only athlete to place as she scored 402.65 points to outpace the field of 16 divers in the final.
