Evergreen volleyball season ends at regionals

LOVELAND — The Evergreen Lady Cougars had their 2012 season ended with back-to-back defeats at the 4A Region 6 tournament on Nov. 3 at Thompson Valley High School.
Evergreen dropped a 25-20, 25-16, 25-23 decision to Montrose and was upended 25-17, 22-25, 25-7, 25-14 by host Thompson Valley. The defeats capped a 9-16 season for Evergreen, which lost seven of its final eight matches.
Thompson Valley, the No. 6 seed, defeated Montrose 25-22, 23-25, 25-20, 27-25 to advance to the 4A state tournament Nov. 9-10 at the Denver Coliseum.
