Evergreen native Nancy Writebol is in serious condition after contracting the virus Ebola while working as a missionary in Liberia.
Writebol and her husband, David Writebol, were working with Samaritan’s Purse, a Christian service organization, in Monrovia when she became ill.
Writebol had been working as a hygienist, spraying protective suits of health care workers treating Ebola patients, according to a statement from Samaritan’s Purse spokesperson Melissa Strickland.
