Eligible voters can vote in person or by absentee ballot in the election for the Evergreen Park and Recreation District board on Tuesday, May 6.
The polling places are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Wulf Rec Center, 5300 S. Olive Road, and Buchanan Park Rec Center, 32003 Ellingwood Trail. Both facilities are disabled accessible.
Those who would like to vote by absentee ballot have until the close of business on Friday, May 2, to file applications with the ERPD office.
Any eligible elector requesting an absentee ballot for this year's EPRD elections must complete the 2014 application, regardless of whether a previous one has been filed.
Absentee ballot applications may be downloaded at www.evergreenrecreation.com. They may be filed with Scott Robson, the designated election official for EPRD, by fax at 720-880-1080, by mail, or in person at 1521 Bergen Parkway, Evergreen, CO 80439. (Note: Please do not send any mail to the district’s former post office box address.)
Absentee ballots must be received by Tuesday, May 6, at 7 p.m.
Four candidates are vying for three seats on the EPRD board. Incumbent Peter Lindquist is on the ballot along with candidates John Ellis, Monty Estis and Peg Linn.
Board candidate Tim Kimber has withdrawn his bid. Votes cast for Kimber will not be counted.
Those elected to office will serve four-year terms on the EPRD board.
