Keith B. Hembre, the new chief economist for U.S. Bank, will offer his economic forecast for 2009 at a gathering sponsored by the Evergreen Chamber of Commerce on Feb. 10.

The event, which includes lunch, will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. Feb. 10 at Hiwan Country Club. Registration is required due to limited seating.

Hembre succeeds Tucker Hart Adams at U.S. Bank; Adams announced her retirement last year. Hembre was named one of the top five economists by Business Week in 2008 and has appeared on CNBC and Bloomberg TV. Hembre’s 2008 economic forecast was part of an annual outlook survey that BusinessWeek conducts every December to determine what a group of U.S. economists projects for the coming year. He has worked in the financial services industry since 1992.

The event is sponsored by the chamber of commerce, U.S. Bank, and the Mountain Metro Association of Realtors. Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door. Chamber members should R.S.V.P. at 303-674-3412 or admin@evergreenchamber.org; members of MMAR can R.S.V.P. to 303-674-7020 or marta@mountainmetro.com.
