Chick Dykeman was re-elected president of the Evergreen Fire Protection District board for a two-year term  after becoming the only candidate of the five board members to get a nomination, which came from George Goldbach.

Goldbach was later elected treasurer in a 3-2 vote over Jeff deDisse at the regular meeting of the board on May 28 at fire district headquarters.

Dykeman joined the board March 23, 2007, as an appointed replacement for Bob Wallace, who resigned in late 2006. He was first elected president of the board Nov. 16. He was elected to a four-year term in the regular board election May 6 with the second-most votes (197).

George Kling, who joined the board after receiving the most votes (212) of those running in the general election in May, was elected vice president.

Jaine Hamilton will continue to serve as secretary while she is in the process of relocating to Newcastle for a new job.
