Developer Ron Lewis files for Chapter 11 reorganization

Longtime Evergreen land developer and builder Ron Lewis and his wife, Carol Lewis, have filed for individual Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization as of March 21, listing assets of $7.8 million and liabilities of $19.2 million.

As co-owner of the Buffalo Park Development Co. and other companies, Lewis was responsible for pioneering numerous housing developments such as Bear Mountain Vista, The Homestead in Conifer and the Village at Cragmont. He has built more than 100 houses in the Evergreen area in a career that spans 45 years.
