Dem newcomer takes on incumbent in House race

An Evergreen woman with 42 years experience as an education consultant, prominent Western Slope political genes and a strong sense of self-sufficiency has announced a campaign in House District 25 as a Democratic in the traditionally Republican district.

Although she has never held political office, Lorna Idol isn't daunted in her bid for the seat held by Evergreen Republican Cheri Gerou, who is in her second term and is seeking a third.
