Amanda Lynne Davis, daughter of Ron and Andrea Davis of Evergreen, was recently awarded her Girl Scout Gold Award, the highest award in Girl Scouts. For her project, she created awareness of hunger and poverty by educating her peers and collecting needed items for a Lakewood group, Mean Street Ministry. With the help of the community, she collected 1,054 items, including travel-sized toiletries, food items, books and toys valued at approximately $1,800.
