The Evergreen Cougars seem to get a rush from living dangerously.
They play to win, no doubt, but they seem to get a little something extra in the tank after a team scores or almost scores on them.
“We’re really good at refocusing and finding the counterattack,” Evergreen senior forward Anya Kaufmann said. “We tend to not get down on ourselves. If there’s a good opportunity, we just pick ourselves up and say, ‘OK, now we got to score because that was too close.’”
