Colby Fisher let the Englewood Pirates know exactly how they were going to be treated on Dec. 11.

The Evergreen 135-pounder trailed nearly the entire match before he discovered a burst of reserve energy to score a four-point move at the end of regulation. Fisher attacked in overtime, scoring a quick takedown for an 8-6 decision.

No matter what the Pirates did in their Class 4A Jefferson County League dual, the Cougars found the right counter and enough gas in the tank to do it.

"I was surprised when I got overtime," Fisher said. "I felt ecstatic."

The Cougars won every match they wrestled, won another via forfeit and forfeited four weights to give the Pirates all their points in Evergreen’s 44-24 victory.
