There may have been snow pushed off to the side of the field. There was certainly a chill in the air. But Evergreen’s boys soccer team was more than a little warmed up for its 4A state playoff opener on Oct. 27 against Vista Ridge.
The Cougars, the No. 2 seed in this year’s 32-team tournament, already led by two goals when they exploded for six more scores in the game’s final 33 minutes for an 8-0 rout. Six players scored for Evergreen, including two goals each from Colton Cavey and Jared Cochran.
