MONUMENT — For a moment it looked like it might happen. This was the kind of game they wanted to play.
The fourth-seeded Evergreen boys basketball team got within two points of top-seeded Lewis-Palmer early in the fourth quarter before bowing out of the 4A state tournament in the Sweet 16 for a second straight season with a 52-37 loss March 2 at Lewis-Palmer High School.
