Kurt Dieter scored eight points in the extra frame, including a 3-pointer and three-point play, and Chris Lemasters sank five free throws to give the Cougars a 50-47 victory in the second round of the Paul Davis Classic at Green Mountain High School.
"We’ve been talking about this curse we’ve had about the last year or so, where in tight games we can’t win," Dieter said. "This one we knocked down our free throws and didn’t turn the ball over."
