When the Buchanan Park improvement executive committee began shopping around for a land planner last year, it was looking for the best. Luckily, it didn’t have far to look.

“Buchanan’s literally in my backyard,” laughs Russ Butler, a North Evergreen resident since 1991. “I’d been following its progress in the paper, and I was very excited when they asked me to be a part of it.”
