Brian Hughes, 66

Brian Malcolm Hughes, 66, died Nov. 7, 2011, in Lakewood. He lived in Evergreen.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Nov. 27, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Englewood Elks Lodge.
Brian was born Nov. 5, 1945, in Tobermory, Isle of Mull, Scotland, to Alec Robert Hughes and Ishbel Graham Hughes. He grew up playing the bagpipes.
He served 16 years in the British army and reached the rank of sergeant major.
He moved to Colorado in 1978 and spent his years here working as an electrician and as a pipe major in several bagpipe bands.
