A Conifer woman who was reported missing at midmorning on Dec. 3 was found Thursday night in Fairplay.
Laurette Doerr, 86, left her home in Conifer on Dec. 3 to visit her daughter in Denver and never arrived. Shortly before she was found a senior Amber Alert was released—the first time the state has done that.
According to Park County Sheriff Fred Wegener, a truck driver who had seen the Amber Alert was traveling on U.S. 285 and spotted Doerr’s blue 2000 Subaru Impreza. The truck driver notified the Fairplay Police Department.
