Charlie Blackstock played the role of Florence Henderson last Wednesday night.
Amid all the chaos of pressure defense, flying rebounds and transition basketball against Fountain-Fort Carson, Blackstock was unflappable and did everything to keep the Cougars together.
Blackstock scored 12 of his game-high 23 points in the first quarter as the Cougars held on to drop the Trojans 54-42 in their second game of the week-long Jefferson County Tournament, which culminated Saturday with a loss to 5A Bear Creek.
