Artists’ co-op suddenly turns uncooperative

Main Street Fine Art Gallery, an artists' cooperative, has closed temporarily after a difference of opinion over how the art should be chosen and displayed.

The space next to Beau Jo's in downtown Evergreen opened June 24 as the first home of the Evergreen Artists Association, which is known for sponsoring the annual Evergreen Fine Arts Festival in August. (This year’s festival will be on Aug. 25.)
