A dreadful Sunday afternoon crash on Evergreen Parkway sent three area residents to the hospital and shut down traffic through Bergen Park.
About 3:05 p.m. April 6, Evergreen resident Ian Ferguson, 18, was driving west on County Road 65 in a maroon, 2000 Subaru Legacy sedan with one passenger, 20-year-old Katie Pitts of Kittredge. According to the Colorado State Patrol, the Subaru entered the left-turn lane at Highway 74, continued through a red light into the intersection and was struck broadside by a tan 2007 Chevy Suburban traveling north on the parkway.
